Gulf Cooperation Council – Disaster Center Strategy Development


The World Bank Middle East and North Africa department, in cooperation with the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) has retained GEG to help facilitate the development of a strategy to establish a regional disaster center for the Gulf Cooperation Council. 


GEG Partner Brian Majewski will work in conjunction with World Bank colleagues and technical experts to help the Gulf States operationalize concepts for the center and produce a detailed strategic plan and business plan covering requirements for launching the center, infrastructure and staffing requirements and service objectives related to information management, multi-hazard probabilistic risk analysis, regional cooperation and training.
